My tomatoes are sprawling out of control. This is the first time in 30 years that I have not used cages to hold them up. Next year back to the cages, I've learned my lesson.

I dug these daylilies recently to transplant into a new space. They seem to be doing fine in the pots amongst the other flowers.

Inside Greenhouse 2006

Greenhouse

The greenhouse worked great. I even started all of my pots for the porch inside. This sure saved a lot of time and money. Even though the greenhouse is located on the east side of the house it did a great job.

John built this greenhouse for me. It is attached to the back of the house. I start my plants in the basement and we can hand them up thru the windows to the greenhouse. The best part , we spent less than 40 dollars on materials. The lumber was some John cut from trees that were taken down to build the pond. The plastic was part of a trade. It was built to last only a short time to see if I liked it or if it would work. I will use it until it starts to deteriate. Maybe then we will build something a bit nicer looking. The top plastic ripped the first week of July. That's okay the greenhouse was empty. We can stretch more plastic across next spring as needed.
